Se dieron a conocer los premios a lo mejor del año para el Consejo Mundial de Boxeo (WBC en sus siglas en ingles), donde se premiaron a los mejores boxeadores y peleas del 2017, en dichas nominaciones el kazajo, Gennady Golovkin fue el que más destacó al llevarse dos galardones.
Cabe señalar que los ganadores fueron elegidos por la gente a través de una votación.
Durante el tradicional “Martes de Café” fue donde se dieron a conocer a los ganadores, en la que se destacan las categorías de la Pelea del Año que fue para el encuentro entre Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin enfrente de Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez del pasado 16 de septiembre. El kazajo también obtuvo el nombramiento a Boxeador del año.
